Aims

The aim of the Events Management Workshop is to enable groups to gain a greater understanding of their obligations and responsibilities when delivering a public or private event.

The workshop will focus on the following areas

  • Introduction to Events Management
  • Assessing the risks of delivering an event
  • Types of event
  • Roles and Responsibilities
  • Choosing event venues
  • Planning for your event
  • Production of Events documentation and legal requirements
  • Managing the event budget and sourcing funding
  • Sourcing goods and services
  • Project managing all the elements
  • Marketing and communications
  • Site and venue management requirements
  • On the day co-ordination
  • Feedback and follow up

Following an initial assessment of participants, workshops will be tailor made to suit the group.

Workshops will be delivered over four 2 hour evening sessions or a day and a half.

Evening workshop –  6.30pm to 8.30pm

Day workshop: Day 1 –  10am to 4pm, Day 2 – 10am to 1pm
